Behold the swine,
As he trudges forth aimlessly.
Wading through his own filth and seed as though it gold,
Void of all worth.
Witness the cur,
As he cowers before all of you,
But be warned,
Beneath his meek guise is a devil,
Upon him, cast your stones!
Will you follow me to ensure the demise,
Of a beast so unworthy of drawing breath?
That he fails to speak, to uphold his cause,
His sickening scheme to mar the face of God.
Can you bear that this soul,
You have strived to conspire against,
Will come to be the bringer of your end,
And in time you will learn,
That this creature you condemn,
Is no less of a human,
Than you have ever been.
I'd bury my guilt in the sodden earth,
But I've found it only grows,
The soil contaminates,
And the roots begin to show.
I have sinned beyond repentance.
And in time you will learn,
That this creature you condemn,
Is no less of a human,
Than you have ever been.
And in time you will learn,
That this creature you condemn,
Is no less of a human,
Than you have ever been.

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
